Project leader: Anca-Daniela STOICA

She started her research career in 2012, during her bachelor studies, in the field of Animal Physiology, achiving the basic skills for performing in vivo studies and making biochemical investigations. Thereby, contributing to my first publication, as co-author. Starting the master programme in Forensic Chemistry, research has continued in the field of Biochemistry and in vivo studies, that led to winning a 1-year scholarship from World Federation of Scientists (Switzerland) – Biochemical and acid-base parameters in animals exposed to newly-developed blood substitutes. These experiences were extremely beneficial in order to become a PhD student in the field of Biology and research assistant at the National Institute for Research and Development of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies Cluj-Napoca, closely studying the oxidative stress generated by inflammation and natural antioxidants that could prevent or counteract the oxidative stress in vivo. In the present project, the main idea is to employ multidisciplinary approaches including analytical chemistry, chemical characterization in order to achive improved in vivo results of novel Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs – based congujates.
